SSA Legal Services And Conflict Resolution Sues For Peace In Ebonyi Community

The Senior Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on legal services and Conflict Resolution, Barr. Emeka Nwode has called on the people of Amachi village of Amagu Community in Abakaki Local Government Area of the state, to sheath their sword and embrace peace, stressing that, peace remains Paramount to the development of any society.

Barr Nwode gave the advice on Monday, while mediating on the age long Leadership tussle that has been a cog on the wheels of development in the village. He called on the contending parties to toe the path of peace, noting that the leader of the state, Engr David Nweze Umahi has sacrificed much to guarantee peace in the state.

After receiving oral and written submission from the contending parties, he called on them to sustain the existing peace in the Area, warning that the state government will be hard on any person or group, who may want to cause breach of peace in the area. He assured of timely resolution of the matter, calling for the cooperation of the stakeholders and contending parties to resolve the matter to satisfaction of all.
The well-attended meeting held at the conference hall, ministry of internal security border peace and conflict resolution, old Government House, Abakaki, had the following Stakeholders in attendance; the member, representing Abakaki South Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Deacon Joseph Ununu, immediate past special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Internal security (Ebonyi North) and president General, Izzi Nnodo Youth forum, Comrade Ben Nwovu, Coordinator, Abakaki Development center, Hon. Ekene Edeh, among others, expressed appreciation to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, for the maturity and professionalism he displayed in handling issue, promising to work together to ensure quick and peaceful resolution to the dispute.
