Okoro Emegha now Ebonyi SSC


Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has become the Special Security Consultant (SSC) for the government of Ebonyi State under the watch of Governor David Nweze Umahi.



Ebonyi Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr Orji Uche Orji made this known on last Monday while briefing newsmen after the state Executive Council meeting in Abakaliki.




He said that Emegha was directed to commence duty with immediate effect following the approval of his new appointment by Ebonyi State Executive Council during the meeting.


Emegha is currently the Chairman, State Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


He doubled the position as the Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution in Ebonyi State.



But Orji noted that Emegha before his new appointment tendered his resignation letter as the Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution on the 31st of July, 2021.


Orji equally disclosed that Emegha's resignation letter was accepted by the State Executive Council during the meeting.


The Information Commissioner said that Emegha will be be attending all State functions including State Executive Council meetings; and also can liaise with the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Internal Security and or SA on Internal Security in the running of the security architecture of the State.


He said, the State Executive Council eulogized him for his sense of discipline, loyalty, hard work and exemplary service in his previous appointive positions.

“The State Executive Council (EXCO) did approve the resignation of the Commissioner for Internal Security, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, effective from 31st of July, 2021. 

"EXCO did wish him well in his new job and was commended very highly for his sense of discipline, loyalty and hard work and exemplary service in the appointments he had before this time.

“EXCO further approved his appointment as a special security consultant to Ebonyi State government, effective from 1st August 2021.


"In this regard, he is free to attend all State functions including State Executive Council meetings. And he is required by virtue of his new appointment to liaise with the Permanent Secretary Ministry of  Internal Security and or SA on Internal Security in the running of the security architecture of the State. This decision of the EXCO will be forwarded to the State House of Assembly to do the needful,” Orji said.
