Edda Royal Fathers Visit Stanley Okoro Emegha; Lauds Gov. Umahi's Developmental Strides In Edda Land

The traditional rulers from Afikpo South Local Government Area (Edda) on Saturday, paid a solidarity visit to their son, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Ebonyi State, who also doubles as the Special security consultant to Ebonyi State Government, in his office, old Government House, Abakaliki.

Speaking with Newsmen after the visit, the Chairman of Afikpo South traditional rulers council, HRH Eze Charles Azuenya said, their visit was as a result of the news of Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha's resignation from his exalted office, the Commissioner for internal security border peace and conflict resolution.

He said, "we are here because we were disturbed on hearing of your resignation as the Commissioner for internal security border peace and conflicts resolution, having seen his positive performance in the management of the security architecture of the state, and have come to see him and know the reason for resigning from such exhalted office, which we, his fathers are proud of his performance. 

"But he told us that the resignation was for good. He said he resigned to contest for APC Chairman of Ebonyi State and are happy for that", he said. They expressed satisfaction with the performances of Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha in various offices he has held promising to always support him in all his aspirations.

Eze Azuenya commended the state Governor, Engr David Nweze Umahi for believing in their son, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha and for his Developmental strides in Edda land, with particular reference to the ongoing Ugwu Inyere flyover bridge, which he described as a national project undertaken by the Governor for his love for the people and numerous other projects.

They prayed ,gave their Royal blessings to their son, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha and assured the governor of the solidarity and support of Edda clan in the policies and programs of his administration.

In his response, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha who was visibly excited, expressed Joy over the visit, stating that for the traditional rulers from his local Government to visit him in such manner was a mark of honor and show of fatherly concern, which he said, he will never take for granted.
He expressed appreciation to the Royal fathers, assuring them that he will never disappoint them.

Emegha thanked the Governor for appointing him a special security consultant to the state government, noting that he will discharge his duty with utmost sincerity and in a professional standard.
