Agric Programs: Ebonyi govt assures inclusion of Artisans to boost productivity

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nomeh on Friday promised to incorporate the members of Artisan Association of Nigeria in Ebonyi State government agricultural programmes.

Chief Nomeh gave the assurance when the State Executive members of the Asssociation paid him a courtesy call in his office, Ochudo Centenary City Abakaliki.



The Commissioner declared interest to include the association in the second address policy by the state government as far as the members would avail themselves to the opportunity by actively participate in farming to boost productivity.

Earlier, the President of Artistian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State Chapter (AANEB), Pastor Eze Friday Nwaze, stated that his members were in dire need for their inclusion in the government agricultural programmes both in the state and at the national level.





The AANEB President, Pastor Eze Friday Nwaze, re-affirmed his members' support to the programmes and policies of the state government, while commending Governor David Umahi for re-appointing a tested and trusted administrator, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nomeh to head the State Agricultural Ministry.



He said that AANEB was established to exchange ideas and techniques on issues relevant to the development of craft, science and technology, assuring their full involvement and support to the state government in her developmental policies.


"AANEB has resolved to key into the state government agricultural programmes as a way of supporting our trades, and over six (6) registered cooperatives by the body are pursuing the policy," the President added.
