OPEN LETTERS AND NEGATIVE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN AS AN UNFORTUNATE DISTRACTION TO THE RISING EBONYI PROFILE (EPISODE 2)

In the light of the above therefore, it is hereby submitted that all manner of open letters and social media activism at this moment of our history is a disservice to self and to Ebonyi people. This is not the best time for open letters. A time when the state is grappling with the chilling effects of covid-19 is not best suited for open letters. A time when the Governor is working very hard to place Ebonyi state on concrete infrastructural base is not the best time for open letters. Open letters cannot give us roads, it cannot give us bridges, it cannot give us peace and security, it cannot put good on the table of Ebonyi people; rather it has a tendency to ignite a fire that will burn out and scorch the above dividends of good governance. To distract the Governor in his avowed commitment to re-engineer and redesign this state to a 21st century model is the height of disservice to Ebonyi people. Again, we do not need open letters or negative and delusional social media activism. Rather those who think they have better ideas or magic wands should present themselves to Ebonyi people at the right time for the mandate to demonstrate their ideas or perform their magic. Any form of political gimmicky or attempt at playing to the social gallery is a disservice to Ebonyi people and should be resisted by all men of good will.
It is repeated, we do not need open letters, we rather need open prayers and open support. Distractive social media campaign is mere delusional self indulgence. It has never solved any problem and will never solve any, but will rather create new ones. What we need is constructive suggestions to government borne out of good faith and godly conscience. Let us take advantage of the the infrastructural wonders God is using his servant Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi to perform, for we know not when next we will have this great opportunity. Governors and engineers like David Umahi are not easy to come by; a trip to other south East states will convince you. The administration may not be perfect as no human system is perfect except God's own systems; but Ebonyi people earnestly need the infrastructural magic ongoing in Ebonyi state today. Those who today think we do not need these infrastructure will appreciate the vision and enormous sacrifices of this government tomorrow. We should not shortchange ourselves by slowing down this divine process by mili-seconds through engaging in futile literary adventure.
Of a truth,it is impossible to diminish or under play the excellent performance of the Umahi-led administration. No amount of distraction or distortion, and no amount of intellectual somersault or academic acrobatics can achieve that; therefore to attempt to play down on the near-magical developmental feats achieved by His Excellency the Governor is to attempt the impossible.
Truth is always strong no matter how fragile it looks and falsehood is always weak no matter how strong it appears.
Ebonyi State is in the hands of God
