Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has lifted the suspension of political officeholders from Effium/Ezza Effium war-torn community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area.
The Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr Orji Uche Orji made this announcement on Friday in Abakaliki.
He said Umahi passionately and graciously approved the lifting of the suspension on the political officeholders following the peace which has already returned to the community and the resolve of the stakeholders from the area to keep living peacefully.
He also stated that the governor consequently, directed the affected political office holders to resume duties with effect from the 1st day of May, 2021.
Among the political officeholders called back to duties include;

Sir, Emmanuel Uzor - SA
Chief Nichodemus Omenka - UBEB Sec.
Hon. Uzim Bernard - Member LGAC
Ogwale Eucharia - Coordinator Effium South.
Hon. Agbo Sunday - Coordinator Effium DC
