Igboasa, orri, Agba clans restate support to Umahi's govt, pledge peaceful co-existence

 



The people of Igboasa, Orri and Agba clans of Ishielu Local Government Area have resolved to support Governor David Nweze Umahi in his efforts to enthrone lasting peace in the Clans and all parts of the State.

The people made the resolution during a security meeting with Governor David Nweze Umahi at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki on Friday.

 Presenting the six-point Communique on behalf of the people, the State Commissioner for Business Development, Dr. Steve Odoh said the clans condemn in very strong terms the attack on the people of Egedegede by herdsmen on 29th March 2021 that resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of properties.

"The Clans Condemn in very strong terms the attack on the people of Egedegede by herdsmen on 29th March, 2021 that resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of properties and we commend the efforts of His Excellency, The Governor of Ebonyi State for his quick intervention that brought the Federal Government to the scene as well as the ₦20m released to the victims of the attack and another ₦20m to set up a vigilante outfit in the area"

The Igboasa people while appreciating the Governor for all the infrastructural and Human Capital Development across Ishielu Local Government Area, assured him of their continued support to his administration.

"We appreciate His Excellency for all the infrastructural and Human capital Development across the length and Breath of Ishielu LGA. We reassure His Excellency of the unalloyed support and solidarity to him and the Government of Ebonyi State by the good people of Igboasa, Orri and Agba Clans of Ishielu LGA"

They pledged to support the Governor in all his Political endeavors.

"We resolve to live in peace and promote peaceful co-existence among the clans and communities and support His Excellency the Governor of Ebonyi State in all his future political endeavor"
