The people of Ohanivo Federal Constituency comprising of Ohaozara, Ivo and Onicha Local Government Areas have applauded Governor David Nweze Umahi for his superlative performance in the area of Infrastructure and empowerment.The people made the commendation during their stakeholders meeting with the governor at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki on Thursday.
Presenting the six point Communique on-behalf of the people, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Odefa Obasi Odefa said the people condemned in its entirety all the media attacks on the person of the Governor by misguided elements whose driving force is envy and hatred.
"That we are profoundly proud of the excellent and superlative performance of His Excellency in the governance of Ebonyi State particularly but not limited to infrastructural transformation of the State, Empowerment Programmes, Transparency and Accountability. We condemned in its entirety all the media attacks on the person of the Governor by misguided elements whose driving force is envy and hatred"
He noted that the people also condemn all act of violence perpetrated in the State by criminal elements in whatever form or guise."While enjoining the Governor to ignore all Detractors and Misguided elements in the entire Ohanivo Federal Constituency pledged that the people shall at all times support the Governor to ensure the realization of all his policies and Programmes in the State. We condemned without reservation all act of violence perpetrated in the State by criminal elements in whatever form or guise. We commend and support all steps taken by His Excellency for the security of lives and property in the State and pursue with Divine guidance the completion of all the projects which the Almighty God has directed him to do for the benefit of Ebonyians and Humanity in general."
