Mothering Sunday: Ebonyi LG Boss bags 2 awards of excellence from Catholic Church Abakaliki Diocese

The Executive Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Council, Chief Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga has bagged award of excellence from St. Patrick Parish, Catholic Church of Abakaliki  Diocese, as Oji Ugo 1 of the parish.

While giving the award to Mrs Nwogbaga, at the parish, Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki town, the President of the Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, Mrs Angela Asadu and the Chairman of the planning Committee, Chief Mrs Patricia Nwankwegu described the gesture as a meritorious one in considering her track records since assumed office.



We learnt that Mrs Nwogbaga was earlier conferred an honourary award as "Diamond  Mother of the Year," by the Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, of Holy Child Parish, izhia in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State.


The two awards were gathered to be in recognitions of the sterling leadership of inclusion, transparency, accountability, accessibility, open door and security policies of Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga.


We also learnt the woman has been conferred with several awards of excellence since her inception of office as the Executive Chairman of Ebonyi local Government Area.


Mrs Nwogbaga has expressed joy for the recognition and promised to continue to support the parishioners at all the time for the well-being of the church.

She described women as assets that are wonderfully made by God, while extolling women across Ebonyi Local Government Area and the state at large, pointing that the wife of Governor, Chief Mrs Rachel Ogbonna Umahi remains her role model.

She maintained that women are the best,  in making homes beautiful, peaceful and accommodative.

She however, encouraged the women and all the parishioners to be God fearing and work to promote the good works of God by rendering a genuine services to humanity.

Chief Mrs Nwogbaga stated this in the commemoration and celebration of the mothering Sunday, observed across the world.

According to her, "mothers are wonderfully made by God, so caring, they do everything within their reach to make their homes beautiful.

 "The world continue to exist because the women are existing. Indeed, we are wonderfully created for Godly fulfilment.

"The mothers across the world are being celebrated today for their selfless contributions and impacts to humanity especially in modelling their wards and living up to their responsibilities be it in procreation, home building, peace making, services to God and humanity, leadership, education and general welfare of man."


Nwogbaga who joined the Catholic women organization to celebrate today's mothering Sunday, declared the event as an honour from God for women to be celebrated across the world.

Meanwhile, the Ebonyi LG Boss' supporters and well-wishers have continued to felictate with her for the new award, describing her as the workaholic leader and prayed Godly fulfilment in her life.
NATIONAL PANEL gathered that the CWO also gave awards of excellence to other people in considering their contributions to promoting moralities and services rendered to humanity as a part of encouragement.
