Love for one another is a panacea for peace, harmony, Umahi tells Ebonyians

Governor David Nweze Umahi has urged the people of Ebonyi State to imbibe the spirit of love, pointing that a love for one another should be seen as a panacea for peace and harmony in every society.

Umahi made the statement at the Christians Ecumenical Centre during the conclusion of the 2021 Easter Carol of the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN.

This was contained in a release from the Ministry of Information and State Orientation as shared by the Commissioner in charge, Barr. Orji Uche Orji on the news platform for update.

The governor who was represented by the state Head of Service, Chief Chamberlain Nwele said that, "all Christians should imbibe the spirit of love for one another as a panacea for peace and harmony."

He further urged the people to always cultivate the spirit of tolerance, forgiveness and live and let live spirit in order to move the nation forward.

On his part, the State CAN Chairman, who is also the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Welfare and Religious Matters,  Fr. Abraham Chukwuma  Nwali in his homily charged Christians  to leverage on the resurrection powers of Jesus Christ and the Salvation that comes from him to amend their ways and seek the face of God in all we do.
