Ebonyi APC youth leader blasts PDP for attacking Emegha, accuses opposition of sponsoring crisis

By NATIONAL PANEL REPORTERS

Mr Ogochukwu Elem, the Ebonyi All Progressives Congress Youth Leader has condemned the unwarranted and senseless verbal attacks on Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution in the state.

He warned the PDP members in Ebonyi to stop sponsoring crisis in the state.

Elem gave this warning in a statement issued and made available to the NATIONAL PANEL on Thursday.

According to the Youth Leader, "those calling for the resignation of the Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution are the same people who are sponsoring crises in the affected communities of Ebonyi State and they are the members of the People's Democratic Party, PDP."

He described Ebonyi is the most peaceful state in the South East courtesy of Stanley Okoro Emegha's competence despite that Ebonyi PDP members have resorted to aiding and abetting crises across communities to discredit the state government thereby trying to market their expired and rejected political party.

He added: "It is ungratefulness on the side of the PDP members in the state to call for the resignation of Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha considering the fact that he has been performing marvelously well since he assumed office as Commissioner."

He maintained that the harmonisation of the Neighborhood Watch, Police and Army in the Ebonyi State by Emegha have strengthened security in the state and it is expected of everybody to applaud the Commissioner instead of making debased statements against him.
