The Ebonyi State born billionaire businessman, Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii popularly known as AnyiChuks will be celebrating his 44th birthday anniversary today. There is no gain saying the fact that he is indeed a distinguished Nigerian and a compassionate leader of note who has over the years positively touched the lives of millions of people through his philanthropic gestures and humanitarian service. Although age is only a number, there is no doubt that Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii’s accomplishments at the youthful age of 44 years have earned him the respect and admiration of both the low and mighty in the society.
A brief incursion into his biography indicates that Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii whose astronomical rise from a humble beginning to an enviable status as an international statesman was born on 17th April, 1977 into the family of late Pa Chukwuma Odii of Isu-Achara, Anioma Isu in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State. The young Ifeanyi attended Isu-Achara Primary School and Isu Secondary School respectively before venturing into the unpredictable world of uncertainty characterizing the business community.
In his avowed determination to navigate through the stormy waters of life, AnyiChuks decided to add more feathers to his academic cap by undertaking to do an executive programme at Lagos Business School. He also has a B.Sc in Business Administration obtained from the National Open University of Nigeria. As if it was not enough, he capped his academic pursuit with more laurels following the conferment on him of a Doctor of Science Degree (Honoris Causa) in Strategic Business Management and Corporate Governance by the European American University in the Republic of Panama.
His early breakthrough in life academically and otherwise emboldened him to unarguably stamp his feet authoritatively in the areas of leadership, management and business strategy for which he has excelled in these fields of endeavour. No wonder with over 20 years experience in building technology and manufacturing which he garnered as a result of his involvement in various sectors of the economy across the globe, AnyiChuks exceedingly overwhelmed his business associates and contemporaries especially those who know his humble beginning.
At this juncture, it is important to mention here that Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii is the founder/Chairman of Orient Global Group with subsidiaries such as Orient Global Manufacturing Network, Orient Haulage and Logistics as well as Purity Agro-Allied Ltd. Similarly, he is the President / CEO of Ultimus Holdings with subsidiary companies namely; Ultimus Construction, Ultimus Properties and Ultimus Global Integrated.
By his vast business experience and intimidating credentials, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has investment portfolio that cut across different sectors of the economy including but not limited to manufacturing, logistics, construction, real estate, health-care, trade and services. Interestingly, he has expanded the scope of these businesses beyond Nigeria and the African continent to the amazement of the world.
It is not surprising that AnyiChuks’ humble beginning made him vow never to live to see his fellow human beings suffer pain and difficulty no matter the situation they find themselves, having cultivated from birth the spirit of helping others. This is why his house has always been a pilgrimage of sort especially to those that are in need of assistance. And this was probably why God raised him to render help and selfless service to humanity – courtesy of Ebele and AnyiChuks Foundation which he founded and named after himself and his wife.
There is no gain saying the fact that he has judiciously used the foundation to impact positively on the society. These philanthropic gestures include building of 107 houses for indigent persons particularly in rural areas. 80 houses out of this number are located at Isu-Okoma his country home and his LGA of origin while 27 others are spread across Uburu, Ezza and Ikwo respectively. He also constructed 7 churches for different denominations, several classroom blocks in some selected primary and secondary schools including providing scholarship to over 1000 students within and outside Nigeria.
Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has nevertheless redoubled his efforts in providing medical treatment and support to deserving patients especially the vulnerable through his foundation. His humanitarian gestures significantly have not gone down unnoticed.
Consequently, the Faculty of Management Sciences, Nnamdi Azikuiwe University recently conferred on him the highest Prestigious Award in its Special Edition of 2021 Alumni HomeComing Ceremony. That notwithstanding, he had previously received several other awards from different institutions and organizations within and outside the shores of Africa for his unwavering capacity building efforts.
It is on record that AnyiChuks’ enormous goodwill earned him the appointment as an Ambassador of the First Edition of Sahel African Military Games. This may not be unconnected with his superlative interest in sports which also made him to sponsor the Annual AnyiChuks Unity Cup tournament at his hometown, Isu-Okoma. In a bid to maintain his physical fitness at all times in line with the maxim that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, AnyiChuks engages in swimming and golfing, culminating in his being an active member of several golf clubs in Lagos.
He is equally a member of the Governing Council, Lagos State University and at the same time sits on the board of Prosperi Holdings.
As we are celebrating today the divine arrival of Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii on the planet earth, we are equally celebrating the success story and enviable fortunes of a great humanitarian and visionary leader whose passion and commitment to transform his environment positively is unparalleled.
However, it cannot be ignored that the monumental achievements made by this revered and vibrant young man could not have been possible without the co-operation and support of his God fearing, elegant and amiable wife, Chief (Mrs) Deborah Ebere Chukwuma Odii.
