Abakaliki Federal High Court on fire

The Federal High Court in Ebonyi State has been reportedly set ablaze by unknown group.

 

The facility located along the Enugu-Abakaliki express way was reportedly invaded by unknown group with arms and ammunition in the early hours of Tuesday and set it ablaze.


Sources in anonymity told NATIONAL PANEL that the alleged gangmen came in their large numbers and set the Court ablaze.

We gathered that the building of the Federal High Court with the relevant documents in the court library was destroyed by the fire.

Confirming the report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Loveth Odah said, no dead has been recorded in the area at this moment.

Recall that this incident came up barely twenty four hours after unknown gunmen were reportedly shot and killed two military personnel with a civilian, at a checkpoint in Amasiri Timber Shade, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
