The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has embarked on the construction of the dreaded Ololo bridge in Izzi LGA of Ebonyi State.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker, Leo Ekene Oketa made this known in a statement on Saturday in Abakaliki.

The statement read: "It happened that he once attended a funeral of a dear friend at Ndubuloswa village in Ebyia DC of Izzi LGA and saw the dreadful nature of the Ololo bridge.

"On getting back home, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru immediately matched a plan to action and began the construction of a solid bridge for the people of the village. The bridge has now been completed in record time, before the rainy season hits off in full force.
"Again, FON has exhibited uncommon leadership and proven his immense passion for quality representation. The people of Ndubuloswa village are so happy as this bridge has provided an age-long desired need for ease of doing business, transportation and as well, has saved their lives."

It could be recalled that the speaker had built other solid projects apart from bridges that included concrete pavement based roads, electricity, boreholes, buildings with welfare outreaches and other interventions for his constituents and the neighborhoods.
