 By  Victor Nwegede
The Ebonyi Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on Monday urged the people of Amaeze communuty in Ivo LGA to embrace peace, saying that the leadership of Governor David Umahi can never encourage crisis in the state.

NATIONAL PANEL gathered that the people of Amaeze community had town Union leadership tussle, but  through the intervention of the state Commissioner for Internal security, Emegha, a caretaker committee was constituted in last August,  to pilot the union, till government permits for a fresh election.

It was also gathered that some of the community people started making trouble with the town union's leadership immediately the period of 6-months given to the constituted caretaker committee elapsed.

However, Chief Okoro Emegha has charged the people to embrace peace, stressing that it is only God who prepares leaders and human beings can choose one among them to lead.

He said: "The government of Engr David Nweze Umahi  will not take it lightly with anyone who encourages crisis no matter your position.

"Let's learn to forgive each other because the absence of forgiveness brings disunity which gives birth to crisis.

"It's not even those holding big positions that ride the biggest cars and build best houses in the community. This is to tell you that one can still make it big outside politics.

"Let peace reign in Amaeze. What's sacrifice is shifting some ground for your brother for peace to reign, it must not be you.

"Caretaker Chairman is what the government encouraged for now and when the main election will take place, the election will witness all the leaders and stakeholders of Amaeze to avoid anyone saying he or she is not aware of it."

He cautioned the community not to let anyone deceive them to further foment trouble in the area.

"The last crisis took me a lot. I had to move from house to house begging people for peace to reign and nobody should start crisis again, because the government of today will hold the person responsible," he added.
