Member Representing Ezza South-Ikwo Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers,  Chief Chinedu Ogah has called on the Federal Ministry of Education to correct the imbalance in the list of the visitation panels to Federal Universities and Inter University centres across the country released by the Federal Ministry of Education.

Ogah made the call in his office at Abuja while briefing journalists, and lamented the   shortchanging  of Ebonyi State professors  in the list noting that Ebonyi has produced professors of International repute to merit the list.

He bemoaned the identity of Professors Ikenna Onyindo and Kelvin N. Nwogu purported to hail from Ebonyi in the list stating that the duo are from Anambara and Imo States respectively.

The Federal lawmaker called on the Minister for Education to urgently correct the anormally and include genuine Ebonyi people to guarantee equity and fair play.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the Committee that compiled the list stating that no matter whatever criteria used in the selection process, glorifying two non Ebonyians to represent Ebonyi State in the list is not only criminal but an affront to the sensibility of every right thinking Nigerian.

"The list released by the Federal Ministry of Education as panels to visit all the Federal Universities across the country shortchanging two Ebonyi people depicts a calculated attempt to trample down the equity and fairness president Buhari's administration was built. I challenge the purported Ebonyians in the list to tender their Local Government Identification letter before the public to vindicate themselves," he said.

NATIONAL PANEL learnt that the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education shortlisted names as panels to visit Federal Universities and Inter University centres with terms of reference but no Ebonyi person was included in the list.
