Police start full investigation into trader killed in Ebonyi - CP





Ebonyi State Police Command said, it has begun full scale investigation to arrest the killers of a trader, Sunday Nwambam in his shop to face the wrath of law in order to serve as a deterrent to others.


The state Police spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah made the disclosure while briefing newsmen about the incident in Abakaliki last Thursday.

Odah confirmed the killing of the trader in his shop by gunmen at a community in the state.

The incident according to her, took place in the shop, opposite the father of the victim's compound by Nwambara Junction along Mile 4-Agalegu-Ishieke road in the Ebonyi Local Government Area.

She told NAN on Thursday in Abakiliki that the killing was a suspected case of cultism.

           

“Nothing was reported stolen or robbed from the victim. The commissioner of police has ordered full-scale investigation into the matter with a view to unravelling the actual cause of the incident.

“The police have also ordered the arrest and persecution of the perpetrators,” Odah said. (NAN)
