The members of the Peoples Democractic Party, PDP led by Chief Fred Udogu as the Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee Chairman has raised alarm over the alleged intimidation by the supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.

The PDP faithfuls in Udogu's camp vowed to resist every violent measure allegedly adopted by Governor David Umahi and his supporters against their members starting from this moment in any part of the state.

This was contained in a press release by the Ebonyi State PDP Publicity Secretary, Barr. Silas Joseph Onu on Sunday.

The release titled, "we are already vindicated on Governor Umahi's violence" stated that the PDP has yesterday, held a press briefing in Abuja, its leaders "told the world of the plans to make Ebonyi State the bloodiest place to be in December by the Governor and his followers."

It further read: "This afternoon in Okposi, Ohaozara LGA (the Governor's LGA) armed thugs invaded a peaceful meeting of Ohaozara PDP Stakeholders holden at the residence of Chief Ajim Best. This act was unprovoked and it is certainly provoking us.

"We warn that we will be forced to defend ourselves in kind, should the security agencies in Ebonyi State allow the Governor to endanger the lives of opposition members through his thugs.

"We are calling on the Director SSS and the Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State to be up and doing by ensuring that every gun shot is accounted for - the shooter (s) identified and apprehended. We are warning that no one has the monopoly of violence."
