Umahi opens online profiling for #ENDSARS empowerment fund

Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Nweze Umahi, has approved the online profiling for the #ENDSARS empowerment fund. 


The state Commissioner for Business Development/Chairman Economic Team, made this known today.

Odoh said that the governor has directed the state Ministry of Business Development to invite all applicants for the programme.

"To this effect, the Ministry of Business Development in line with her mandate hereby invites all applicants for the aforementioned fund to enroll in the Umahi Mentorship Scheme of the Ministry. Participants will be groomed by established and successful business owners and  seasoned facilitators in the Umahi Mentorship programme to achieve maximum business success and sound investment choices," he said.

He said the training for the empowerment fund would be hinged on identifying business opportunities for appropriate investment of the Fund by successful beneficiaries and business plan preparation.


Other areas of focus for the training were said to include financial & business Management, mindset re-orientation; record and book keeping among others.

The training slated to hold on 26th November, 2020 would be held at Staff Development Centre, Kpirikpiri, the state Ministry of Business Development multiple purpose hall by 10:00am.

 
 

Recall that the training is geared towards ensuring the reorientation of prospective beneficiaries towards judicious investment of the funds which will be made available by Governor Umahi with special focus on boosting economic recovery, development of new businesses in the state, efficient loan recovery and effective implementation.


He therefore, advised all concerned to take note and be in attendance, and urged every LGA Chairman to liaise with the Ministry of Business Development for the training in their various council areas in the state.
