Sen. Ama Nnachi trains constiuents on ICTs, shares laptops with cash gifts

Senator Michael Ama Nnachi, who is representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, has embarked on capacity building programme by training his constiuents on various skills such as  Information and Communication Technologies, ICTs.

The training was held two days at ICT hall, Akanu  Ibiam  Federal Polytechnics, Uwanna, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State in.

According to the Senator, the programme was to help his constituents especially the youths to acquire skill and enhance human capacity on computer based development for self employment.

NATIONAL PANEL learnt that over 50 youths were participants of the ICT training programme and each trainee was given a laptop with cash gift  to start meaningful thing for survival.

 

It was gathered that, Mrs. Lolo Ijeoma  Nnachi, the Wife of the Senator  who   represented her husband in the event, shared the brand new laptops to the participants of the programme.

She equally revealed that, her husband, Senator Ama Nnachi has empowered a many people in Ebonyi South Senatorial zone and beyond.

She further stated that market women have largely benefited from the senator's empowerment programme.

Mrs. Ama Nnachi added that her husband has given scholarship to many students;  also supporting the less privileged ones and numerous classes of people in the zone within the short period stayed in office.

She however, stated that the Senator  still has promised to give more supports  to  his constituents and advised the beneficiaries of this programme to not miss use the laptops by engaging in illicit practices like bad yahoo youths, but to judiciously use it for their benefits and others in the society. 

On his part, Engr. Objekw Osy Stanley, who is the Staff  of NITDA also charged the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity to make the Senator proud as he noted that it was the same training made him a staff of NITDA till date. 

He encourage the beneficiaries to equally train other people to help reduce unemployment among the youths in Nigeria.

 

Meanwhile, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Gochins Group and ICT Consultant,  Dr. Gideon C. Osi has applauded the Senator for taking the Ebonyi South youths to the ICT greater height while  other political officeholders, especially those occuping in various elective positions are busy diverting funds that would have been used to execute such programme in their various constituencies for the sponsorship of the political thuggeries in the country.
