People in the position of authorities in Nigeria have been urged to have fear of God in their service delivery.

The Bishop of Anglican  Diocese Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria, Bishop Monday Nkwegu stated this in Abakaliki, while interacting with newsmen.

Bishop Nkwegu said fear of God is the only thing that can eliminate corrupt practices in the country.

"When you fear God, you have moral values and respect for mankind.
You will not embezzle public funds". He said

He called on every Nigerian to see his position as a call to service.

"Public position is not a place where you can stay to loot and kill but a place for service to God and humanities". He explained.

He urged the youths to pray and hope in God's Providence instead of involving in violence.

He thanked President Mohammadu Buhari for releasing COVID 19 palliatives  to every state on time but blamed some Governors who hoarded the palliatives until EndSARS came up.

"Our leaders should learn how to do the right thing at the right time. I was personally annoyed when it was discovered that Palliatives that was meant for COVID 19 intervention is still in various warehouses, some have expired". He expressed.

He advised Nigeria leaders to exhibit spirit of love in whatever thing they are doing.
