Ohaneze Ndigbo hails Umahi, says Ebonyi is full-blown for investment

The Ohaneze Ndigbo,Tuesday, hailed Governor David Nweze Umahi for his developmental turnarounds in his state, saying that Ebonyi is fully ripened to attract investors to boost its economic activities.

The National President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo made the disclosure at the Banquet Hall, old Government House, Abakalik during the night party organized by Governor Umahi to complement the agreement of investment signed between the state government and silver Bird group of companies, Lagos Computer Village, with other business Chiefs across the nation.



Nwodo has described Ebonyi State as the best place to invest, following the enviable infrastructural development scattered across the thirteen local council areas of the state.



He said: " I am aware that Ebonyi State receives the least allocation and I am sure that the internally generated revenue will as well be very low, yet I have not seen the degree of infrastructures the governor has built  in the state anywhere else in the country."

"The type of Ecumenical Centre and shopping mall  Umahi built is the type you can only see in London or other well developed countries in  the whole world" he said 


The President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo also called Ebonyians and people of South East to come and invest in Ebonyi State as it remains the best place, business would thrive and commended  Governor Umahi for his  leadership ingenuities while advising other state governors to emulate his philanthropic dispositions. 

Earlier, the state Deputy Governor  Barr. Kelechi Igwe who spoke on behalf of the Governor said, the state Government has created an enabling environment for business to thrive, calling on investors to come and invest in the state as the developmental strides in the state required huge investment.

He expressed joy over Silverbird's planned investment in the state and its rating of Ebonyi Shopping mall, the best in West Africa.

He advised people to stop waiting for white cola jobs but to engage themselves in self-employed works to better their lives and the entire societies.

NATIONAL PANEL learnt that the agreement with silver bird group of companies necessitated the broadcast organization to establish a branch of its cinema in the state as the first in the South  East zone of Nigeria.

Further, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala hinted that Ebonyi Government is committed to make the state, the  center for business and economic activities; assuring that Umah's led administration would not relent in the efforts to developing the state as desired.

Ugbala therefore, called on the people to show a strong commitment because the state has recorded the fastest and highest  development in the country, emphasizing on the need for Ebonyians in other parts of the state to come and establish their businesses in considering the high level of infrastructure in State, emerged first in the country in terms of economic activities.
