Finally, the Victorious Football Club on Monday won the first phase of the Abakaliki urban's unity cup tournament following a goal scored while in the end part of the games with the All Stars.
The Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Security and Utility, Abakaliki Capital, Saint Nchekwube Anakor, (aka Chinaco) has appreciated the victorious FC and all the clubs that participated in this tournament, commending their performance.
Chinaco assured that the football competition was just the beginning based on his assessment on the inputs of the participants and organnisers.

According to him, "because of the way, it is been organised by the organisers. We are going to repeat this competition. We are going to make it in a greater way.
"I want to give you an assignment. I want you to increase the six team which participated today to sixteen teams. I want us to play it like a league.
"The match will start on October and end in the first week of December 2020. I placed #100,000 on this but in that one, I am going to make it #200,000. They say one thousand kilometers begins with one step. You may not know the potentiality in you. You may not know the reason why you participated in this competition.
"You may not know where God is taking you to. I want to tell you, you are a great footballer. You played wonderfully, which means if you are given a better position, you will do better. We are not going to have another competition by October."
He further promised to market the participants, thereby, bringing in one or more beverage companies to help in the sponsorship of the next competition.
"But I want to market you. In the next competition, I will make sure that I bring one or two beverage companies to help in sponsoring this tournament. One, I want to assure, people from Enugu will come to watch the final of the next competition. They are people if they watch very well, they give you the opportunity to play in the National league.
"You can see the youths are very happy if your don't engage youths, they will engage themselves. We came to ensure we engage them. I want to ensure that our youths are engaged. I want to sell our youths and believed that many of them will perform extremely well in sports", he hinted.
The state security aide thus, gave cssh-gifts to the best players, including a N100, 000 he placed for the winner of the first tournament, promised the winner of the next football competition, a N200, 000, and stated that, the second tournament would hold in-between October and December 2020.
