2027: TSO Endorses Nwifuru For Second Term, Pledges Massive Mobilisation For APC

...South-East Coordinator, Ekechi, seeks recognition, logistics support for members as Emegha assures of gradual response to concerns

The Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), South-East Zone, has endorsed Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 governorship election, pledging to mobilise grassroots support for his re-election and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The endorsement was announced on Monday during a rally at the APC State Secretariat in Abakaliki, where the South-East Zonal Coordinator of the organisation, Chief Celestine Kojos Ekechi, led members of the group to declare their support for the governor.

Ekechi attributed the endorsement to what he described as the achievements of the Nwifuru administration in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth and women empowerment through the government's People's Charter of Needs policy.

He said the organisation was strategically positioned to mobilise support for the governor across polling units, wards and the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State, assuring the party leadership of its commitment to delivering electoral victories for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the TSO would intensify grassroots campaigns, voter mobilisation and participation in political rallies to promote the re-election of Governor Nwifuru and the success of other APC candidates.

The zonal coordinator, however, appealed to the state APC leadership to formally recognise the organisation as a support group within the party's structure and provide the necessary operational assistance, including funding and vehicles, to enhance its mobilisation activities.

He also called for the inclusion of qualified TSO members in the governor's campaign organisation, noting that their experience, dedication and commitment to the APC would contribute significantly to the party's electoral success.

Ekechi recalled that members of the organisation worked for Governor Nwifuru's election in 2023 but had yet to benefit from appointments or government empowerment programmes.

He appealed to the party leadership to address the concerns of members, particularly the state coordinator, Hon. Enyiukpo Samuel Chukwudi, and ensure that their contributions to the party were duly recognised.

The TSO coordinator further urged the APC chairman to remind Governor Nwifuru to respond to an address presented to him during a South-East zonal courtesy visit in April 2026, when the organisation said it adopted the governor as its preferred APC candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

Responding, the Ebonyi State APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, acknowledged the concerns raised by the organisation and assured its members that developments within the party and government were progressing gradually.

“Everything is on a gradual process. We know it very well, and a lot of things are changing,” Emegha said, emphasising that members should expect progressive improvements rather than immediate changes across all areas.

He described the TSO as an integral component of the APC's political structure, commending its members for their commitment to the party and its candidates.

“What you are doing now, you are the strength of the party. The party cannot exist without you,” he said.

The APC chairman added that the organisation's visit had drawn his attention to the issues raised and encouraged its members to remain actively engaged with the party while expressing confidence in the gradual resolution of their concerns.

The Tinubu Support Organisation, founded on June 22, 2022, by its Director-General, Hon. Alhaji Aminu Suleiman, is an APC support organisation established to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilise support for the party and its candidates.

With its latest endorsement, the organisation has reaffirmed its commitment to Governor Nwifuru's second-term ambition, positioning its grassroots structures as a potential mobilisation platform for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
