The exercise, which commenced on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, targets underserved communities across Ikwo/Ezza South and is aimed at strengthening rural electrification in line with the development priorities of the People’s Charter of Needs of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
The benefiting communities are:
1. Inyimagu II – Ugwueke, Inyimagu
2. Ndiagu Echara II – Nwode Farm
3. Ndiagu Amagu I – Afige Market
4. Enyibichiri Ward – Edukwu Obilechi, Ohatekwe
5. Ezza South – Umunwagu, Idembia Amabia Village
Speaking on the intervention, the federal lawmaker said the initiative was part of his commitment to ensuring that federal representation translates into practical development across the constituency.
“Our responsibility is not limited to legislation in Abuja. We must continually identify the needs of our people and respond with interventions that directly improve their lives. Electricity is essential to economic activity, security, education and community development.”
He further stressed the importance of equitable development across the constituency, noting that no community should be left behind in the delivery of democratic dividends.
“Ikwo/Ezza South belongs to all of us. Our approach is to ensure that development reaches communities across the constituency based on identified needs. We will continue to pursue interventions that promote inclusion, improve living conditions and strengthen the capacity of our people to prosper.”
The second phase of the transformer installation underscores Ogah’s broader constituency-focused interventions in electricity, infrastructure, empowerment and community development, reflecting a representation anchored on accessibility, inclusion and tangible impact.
The initiative also reinforces the principle that effective representation must transcend legislative duties and be translated into visible development at the grassroots.
