The initiative, aimed at supporting farmers, strengthening agricultural productivity, and contributing to food security, reflects his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare and economic well-being of the people of Ezza South.
The fertilizer distribution covers the 11 political wards of Ezza South LGA, with Ward leaders mandated to ensure that the intervention is effectively cascaded to the various polling units, thereby taking the benefits directly to farmers and residents at the grassroots.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Mkpuma expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his continued commitment to agricultural development, grassroots empowerment, and the implementation of people-oriented programmes under the People’s Charter of Needs.
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that government interventions are distributed fairly, transparently, and without discrimination, stressing that every eligible citizen deserves to benefit from programmes designed to improve livelihoods and strengthen the local economy.
In the spirit of inclusivity, the distribution accommodated various segments of the society, including farmers, civil servants, security personnel, traditional institutions, political stakeholders, and other critical stakeholders within Ezza South.
The initiative was widely welcomed by beneficiaries and residents, who commended the Chairman for what they described as a transparent, inclusive, and people-centred approach to governance.
The fertilizer intervention is to support farmers improve agricultural output, and contribute to food security and economic empowerment across Ezza South Local Government Area.
