OSUN; Don’t Celebrate Yet, Adeleke Didn’t Secure Highest Votes — APC Campaign Council Tells Adeleke Camp

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Osun State has rejected the election results declaring Governor Ademola Adeleke of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the August 2026 governorship election.

The Director-General of the APC Governorship Campaign Committee, Oluwole Oke, officially stated that the party will not congratulate Governor Adeleke because they believe he did not score the highest number of valid votes.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Governor Adeleke the winner after polling 511,067 votes. His closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, secured 444,815 votes.

However the APC Campaign Council maintains that the announced numbers do not reflect the actual valid votes cast.

The APC has announced that it will not be pressured into making a hasty concession. The party is currently conducting a thorough legal audit and review of the election records before taking its next formal steps.
