Gov Nwifuru Pledges Strategic Partnership With POSA: Inauguates Renovated Structures At PRESCO

Governor Francis Nwifuru has pledged strategic partnership with PRESCO Old Students Association (POSA) to enhance the education and infrastructure development of the School. 

Governor Nwifuru made the pledge on Saturday while inaugurating a  six classrooms, fence and gate renovated by the Association as part of activities to mark the 5th Biannual homecoming and 64th anniversary celebration of the school, with the theme; Legacy, Leadership and Lifelong Connection held in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Capital.
Highlighting the enduraning Legacies his administration has made in Education in the State, Governor Nwifuru, represented by the commissioner for information and state orientation, Barr. Ikeuwa Omebeh, commended the leadership of POSA and entire members for what he described as 'giving back to the society".
"This is a very heart touching project as carried out by the POSAs, the PRESCO old students Association.
"You know, there's nothing as good as giving back to where in one way or the other must have contributed to whatever you are in life. And it's a great pleasure really seeing the wonderful personalities produced by this institution coming together to say that the place where they started life will also be given life also.

"I want to commend them, I want to commend them because, it's not easy gathering together to say, let us come back and give back also to where we started", he stated.

The outgoing president of POSA, Pharm. Cyril Onyemaechi Aninwike, expresed gratitude to Governor Nwifuru for the financial support to the Association which had enabled it carry out numerous projects in PRESCO, calling on the incoming leadership to sustain the existing strategic partnership already established by his leadership.
He thanked members for their cooperation and support which have helped his leadership in making much progress.

The event featured lectures, induction of the governor Francis Nwifuru as Grand patron of the Association.
Among members of POSA who graced the event included, the BoT chairman of the POSA, Major General Abel Obi Umahi rtd, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Cross River State, who chaired the event, Prof. Ivara Ejomot Esu, Commissioner for Infrastructure for concession, Engr. Ogbonna Obasi Abara, commissioner for capital City development, Prince Richard Ugo Idika, among others.
