The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, on Monday, 3 August 2026, joined the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and critical stakeholders at the Ikwo Mega Rally, marking the official flag-off of campaigns for the 2026 Ebonyi State Local Government Elections.
The rally formally presented the APC Chairmanship Candidate for Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Henry Chidi Nwode, his running mate, Hon. Mrs. Chinelo Benedette Nwambe, as well as the party’s councillorship candidates across the twenty electoral wards of the council.
Representing the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Governor, the APC, and the state leadership to delivering a resounding victory for all APC candidates in the Local Government Election scheduled for 22 August 2026.
In his remarks, the federal lawmaker reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the APC’s grassroots consolidation agenda, urging party faithful and the electorate to remain united, mobilized, and resolute in ensuring a landslide victory for all APC candidates. He emphasized that the forthcoming election presents another opportunity to deepen inclusive governance, sustain developmental strides, and strengthen the party’s enduring dominance across Ikwo Local Government Area.
The rally was attended by the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, representing the Governor; the APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha; Rt. Hon.
