The 4+4 Blessed Women Movement, a civil society and political advocacy group has tipped Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for second term in office come 2027.
The group which converged in the Aniekwena Street, Off Waterworks Road Abakaliki outlined security, rural transformation, human capital and infrastructure blended governance as the basis for the Governor's endorsement.
In 22 paragraph statement a copy which was made available to journalists, the National Coordinator and Convener of the group, Hon Mrs Blessing Nworie asserted that Ebonyi State has no reason to toe different political trajectories other than the APC led in the state by Governor Nwifuru.
The statement reads:
"Today marks another defining moment in the political history of our dear Ebonyi State.
"We, the members of the 4+4 Blessed Women Movement, drawn from every local government area, ward and community across the State, have gathered with one united voice and one common purpose—to formally endorse the re-election of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for a second term as Governor of Ebonyi State.
"Our endorsement is not founded on sentiments or political convenience. It is an endorsement built on visible performance, purposeful leadership, compassion for the people and an unwavering commitment to the People's Charter of Needs agenda.
"Governor Nwifuru has demonstrated beyond every reasonable doubt that leadership is about service, integrity and delivering measurable dividends of democracy.
"As mothers, wives, professionals, entrepreneurs and community builders, we have watched with pride as Ebonyi State has continued on the path of rapid transformation.
"Today, our state is becoming a reference point in education, infrastructure, healthcare, human capital development and security.
"One of the greatest legacies of this administration is the establishment of the ICT University at Oferekpe Agbaja, a bold investment that is preparing Ebonyi youths for the digital economy and positioning our state as a destination for technological innovation.
"Equally remarkable is the establishment of the University of Aeronautic and Aerospace Engineering, a visionary institution that places Ebonyi among the few states in Nigeria making deliberate investments in aviation and aerospace education. These landmark institutions will create opportunities for generations yet unborn.
"Your Excellency has equally demonstrated that education remains the strongest weapon against poverty. Through the unprecedented foreign and local scholarship programmes, hundreds of brilliant Ebonyi sons and daughters have been given opportunities to pursue Master's and Doctorate degrees within Nigeria and abroad. Many families who never imagined such opportunities have become direct beneficiaries of your visionary leadership.
"Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, no one can ignore the massive infrastructural transformation taking place across our State. The magnificent VANCO Flyover, ongoing urban renewal projects, road dualisation, modern drainage systems, improved city landscape and other strategic infrastructural projects have given Abakaliki and many communities a new identity worthy of a modern capital city. These projects are opening new economic opportunities, attracting investors and improving the quality of life of our people.
"As women, we appreciate a Governor who understands that empowering women means strengthening families and building stronger communities. Thousands of women have benefited from grants, business support, agricultural programmes, skills acquisition initiatives and other empowerment schemes under this administration. Youths have equally received life-changing empowerment packages, business support, vocational training and employment opportunities, restoring hope and reducing unemployment across the State.
"We also commend Governor Nwifuru for sustaining peace and security across Ebonyi State. Through strategic collaboration with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and local vigilante groups, our communities have become safer, allowing businesses to thrive and our people to go about their daily activities with confidence. Sustainable development can only flourish in an atmosphere of peace, and this administration has worked tirelessly to preserve that peace.
"We equally acknowledge the Governor's interventions in healthcare, agriculture, education, water supply, social welfare and civil service reforms. From free maternal healthcare initiatives to improved welfare for workers and pensioners, from investments in schools to expanded opportunities for vulnerable citizens, this administration has consistently demonstrated that governance should touch the lives of ordinary people.
" Your Excellency, your humility, accessibility, listening ear and inclusive style of governance have endeared you to women across Ebonyi State. You have proven that leadership succeeds when every segment of society is carried along.
"Therefore, after careful consultation and overwhelming consensus among our members, the 4+4 Blessed Women Movement hereby unanimously endorses His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for a second term as Governor of Ebonyi State in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
"We make this declaration with absolute confidence that continuity will consolidate the remarkable achievements already recorded and accelerate the ongoing transformation of our dear State. We pledge to mobilize women from every polling unit, ward and local government area to support this noble cause and ensure that the mandate of continuity is overwhelmingly renewed.
"Your Excellency, we thank you for making women true partners in governance. We thank you for investing in our children, empowering our youths, developing our communities and building a brighter future for Ebonyi State.
"Working together, we shall sustain the gains already achieved. We shall deepen development.
"We shall deliver 4+4 for Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
