"A Lifetime of Service, A New Dawn for Ebonyi South"
My Dear People of Ebonyi South,
I humbly present myself once again for the privilege of serving you in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. My aspiration is not driven by personal ambition but by a lifelong commitment to the progress, unity and prosperity of our people.
For decades, I have invested my resources, time and energy in the development of Ebonyi State and its people. During the struggle for the creation of Ebonyi State, I stood firmly with the movement and provided financial support that helped sustain the campaign until our collective dream became reality. I was also among the early political actors in the People's Democratic Movement (PDM), which contributed to the evolution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and played a key role in supporting the emergence of the state's first civilian governor in 1999. These claims have been widely reported over the years.
Beyond politics, I have remained a philanthropist, sponsoring scholarships for hundreds of Ebonyi sons and daughters, empowering widows, youths and vulnerable families, and supporting community development without discrimination.
Today, under the platform of the Labour Party, I seek your mandate to bring purposeful, compassionate and people-oriented representation to Ebonyi South. Labour Party has nominated Chief Henry Udeh as its candidate for Ebonyi South Senatorial District for the 2027 elections.
My Seven-Point Agenda
1. Quality Representation
I will be a senator who is accessible, accountable and constantly in touch with the people. Every community in Ebonyi South will have a voice in the Senate.
2. Education First
I will expand scholarship opportunities, establish education support funds for indigent students, facilitate federal educational projects and attract skills acquisition programmes for our youths.
3. Jobs and Economic Empowerment
I will promote legislation that supports small businesses, farmers and artisans, facilitate vocational training, expand access to credit for entrepreneurs and encourage investments that create jobs.
4. Agriculture and Rural Development
Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy. I will facilitate improved seedlings, irrigation projects, mechanised farming support, storage facilities and better access to markets for farmers.
5. Infrastructure and Federal Presence
I will work tirelessly to attract federal roads, healthcare facilities, schools, electricity projects, water schemes and digital infrastructure across all local government areas in Ebonyi South.
6. Healthcare and Social Welfare
Quality healthcare should not be a privilege. I will support improved primary healthcare centres, maternal healthcare, youth development, programmes for senior citizens and assistance for persons living with disabilities.
7. Security and Good Governance
I will collaborate with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and stakeholders to promote peace and ensure our communities remain safe while advocating transparency and accountability in public service.
My Legislative Priorities
Sponsor bills that promote youth employment and entrepreneurship.
Champion constitutional reforms that strengthen local governance.
Advocate greater federal investment in Ebonyi State.
Support policies that improve education, healthcare and agriculture.
Promote women and youth inclusion in governance.
Ensure regular town hall meetings and public accountability.
