The People of Ebonyi State have reaffirm their support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed come 2027 general election.
This was displayed on Monday, at Pa Ngele Oruta township stadium Abakaliki, the state Capital where over 20,000 Ebonyians gathered and adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate and Governor Francis Nwifuru as the sole Gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general election
In a motion for the endorsement of President Tinubu moved by former Governor Martin Elechi and supported by former President of the Senate, Anyim Pius Anyim, the people said the president deserves the overwhelming support of the people of Ebonyi because of his remarkable achievements and for carrying the State along in the execution of projects and appointments into key positions
Addressing the mammoth during the grand endorsement rally, Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru said the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the state's sole Presidential candidate in 2027 aligns with the vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The Governor noted that President Tinubu is deliberately laying a foundation of shared prosperity as reflected in his policies, which informed the presidential adoption by the state.
Nwifuru, who stated that Ebonyi has leveraged the President's bold initiatives to deliver good governance, urged other political gladiators to close ranks and join forces to re-elect the President in 2027.
"Mr President has shown us love. We are gathered here to endorse Mr President for a second term in office. To tell the world that we have no other Presidential candidate outside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
"We will not allow any political party to take any position during the election process.
"This is the only president that has started projects in Ebonyi and completed them"
Governor Nwifuru affirmed that the President has sustained the party's ideology and its internal democracy and has remained undistracted in delivering good governance.
The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawa Yilwatda described the grand adoption of President Tinubu by Ebonyi State led by Governor Nwifuru as strategic as he has "aligned his development policies with the populists wish".
Governor Nwifuru, Professor Yilwatda observed
"is building new universities, and is building roads".
According to the party Chairman,
"Governor Nwifuru has connected Ebonyi State with Benue and Cross River States through massive roads and bridges.
"The Governor is transforming infrastructure and human capital development in the state".
The chairman described the Governor as a true partyman who sticks to the party's ideology and its manifesto.
"The crowd here today confirms that the Governor is truly a partyman who sticks to our party's ideology and its manifesto. These are the reasons the crowd is gathered here.
At the commissioning of the Senior Staff Quarters at , ICT University Oferekpe Agbaja immortalizing the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Ebonyi State University Fidelis Ogah, Professor Yilwatda described the 3 storey building comprised of 48 flats of 3 bedrooms erected to provide shelter for senior teaching and non teaching staff of the state owned specialised University as monumental.
He observed that the academic structure demonstrates the Governor's regard for education and human capital development which will remain for centuries
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and the Governor of Enugu State Dr. Peter Mba who was represented by his Deputy Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, Minister of Works Engr David Umahi among others, delivered goodwill messages at the event while the Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum and Governor of Imo State ,Hope Uzodimma inaugurated the Ebonyi State and Local Government Coordinators of Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
