BMCONSI, BMIST Matriculates 250 Students; Reiterates Commitment To Academic Excellence

No fewer than 250 students Matriculated into Blessed Martins College of Nursing Science (BMCONSI) and Blessed Martins International Institute of Science and Technology (BMIIST), Ohatekwe Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, on Friday, as it holds her 2nd and 9th matriculation ceremony.


Speaking during Matriculation ceremony, Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru urged the students to embrace hard work, diligence, and commitment to education, shunning exam malpractice, cultism, and other social vices.

Represented by the Chief Judge of Ebonyi State, Justice Elvis Ngene, Governor Nwifuru commended the proprietress, Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah, for her visionary leadership in establishing institutions that provide quality, affordable education with high academic standards.

He noted that the institutions have brought some of the best educational opportunities in the Southeast closer to the people.

On his part, Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chinedu Onah, and APC Chairmanship Candidate for Ikwo LGA, Chidi Nwode, praised Mrs. Ogah and the school management for setting high standards among private tertiary institutions in the country.


They described the institutions as catalysts for development, equipping students with knowledge and skills for growth and excellence.

Mrs. Ogah expressed gratitude to the Ebonyi State Government for providing a peaceful and enabling environment that has allowed the institutions to thrive.

She also congratulated the newly matriculated students, noting that BMCONSI admitted 150 students, while BMIIST matriculated 100 students, bringing the total to 250.

The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, highlighted that over the past nine years, the institutions have ensured accreditation for all courses and emphasised hands-on practical training to prepare students for the future.

He added that both institutions are well-equipped with modern facilities and affirmed that disciplinary measures will be enforced against any student violating institutional regulations.

Governor Nwifuru’s message underscores the administration’s commitment to nurturing a disciplined, knowledgeable, and socially responsible generation in Ebonyi State


Earlier in her address, the acting Provost, College of Nursing Sciences, Mrs  Abagha Ugwu Marcelina noted that college of nursing sciences is committed to producing competent, skilled and globally relevant nurses who can function effectively in today's dynamic healthcare environment. She revealed that the colleges curriculum is designed to combine sound theoritical knowledge with rigorous clinical practices ensuring that graduate are well prepared to meet both national and international healthcare standards.
