Ebonyi-born Businesses Mogul cum philanthropist, Chief Nwigwe Chibueze Uzor, has declared support for Governor Francis Nwifuru's second term bid in the forthcoming 2027 general election, describing his administration as people-centric.
Chief Nwigwe Chibueze Uzor, who is the CEO, Omni Excel Nigeria Limited, made the declaration on Sunday, during a mini reception in his honor by the people Ugwulangwu Ezeokechima residing in port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He told his people that Governor Francis Nwifuru has achieved significant milestones under his "People’s Charter of Needs" agenda, focusing on human capital, health, and infrastructure. Key achievements include renovating health centers, sponsoring over 300 students on scholarship abroad for postgraduate studies, increasing educational funding, and constructing over 64 km of urban roads alongside 600 km of rural roads. Others are reduction of Ebonyi State University tuition by 10%, increased staff salaries (20% academic, 10% non-academic), cleared million in university arrears.
The billionaire business mogul noted that Governor Nwifuru has also equipped the 13 general hospitals in state with solar power and modern equipment, supplied 52 new ambulances, and implemented free, specialized care for sickle cell patients and cesarean sections and procurement and distribution of SUVs for medical doctors in public hospitals and fostering inclusivity among other things.
He called on the people of Ugwulangwu Ezeokechima, both at home and in diaspora, and indeed, all Ebonyians irrespective of party affiliation to overwhelmingly, support the re-election of Governor Francis Nwifuru, describing his mandate as the surest way for peace and development of the state.
He assured his people that nobody will shortchange them from benefiting from the dividends of democracy due for them, noting that era is gone.
"Whatever dividends of democracy this administration brings to us, we must ensure they reach the people. Unity is our only path to development.
"I want to reassured you all of our continued support for our good friend, and brother, Hon. (Dr.) Kama Nkemkanma. He remains the representative for Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, and he will have our votes.
"We will continue to back leaders who bring tangible benefits to our people.
"Together, we will build a stronger Ugwulangwu", he concluded.
