New Year; Ogah Cals For Strengthening Of Bond of Unity Among Christians,Donate Millions To Church

The Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions and Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, has called for unity among Christians while commending the leadership of St. Elizabeth Parish, Item Amagu Ikwo, under the stewardship of the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Kenneth Andrew Onyekwere.

Ogah made the commendation during the Eucharistic celebration marking the crossover night service at St. Elizabeth Parish, Item Amagu Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He was accompanied by his wife, Chief Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah, JP.

Addressing the congregation, the federal lawmaker praised the unity, stability, and rapid growth of the Church, noting that effective church leadership plays a critical role in fostering a peaceful, organized, and morally upright society. He urged the faithful to remain united and continue supporting the Parish and its developmental efforts whenever the need arises.

Lawmaker Ogah also made several donations to the Parish, recalling his role in the establishment and development of the Church. These contributions include the construction of the Parish Church, the primary and secondary schools within the Parish, the priests’ quarters, and other supporting structures.

He donated the sum of Five Million Naira (₦5,000,000) to the Parish to support church maintenance and strengthen secondary school education, aimed at providing a more conducive environment for quality learning.

Furthermore, in appreciation of the dedication and commitment of women to the growth of the Church, the lawmaker, on behalf of his wife, donated Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000) to the women of the Parish.
