Joy As Dr Ilang Celebrate Christmas For Enyibichiri People

Enyibichiri Community was on Wednesday, 31st day of December, 2025 thrown into jubilant mood, as over 500 women, youths, party faithfuls, village Chairmen and critical stakeholders, gathered at the instance of their illustrus son and the Honourable commissioner for Education,,(Primary & Secondary, Dr Donatus Chukwuma Ilang, to celebrate Christmas.

Speaking during the event, Dr Ilang noted that the Christmas celebration was a way of complementing the effort of the State Governor, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whose administration blue print is centered on the people, most especially, those at the grassroot.
"what is happening here today is complementing the effort of His Excellency, my boss, who has seen that governance should be routed through the grassroots.

"Today, I choose to call my people, the people of Enyibichiri and few others beyond the community, for Christmas celebration in accordance with the tradition of the current administration that has always deemed it necessary to see that the people at the grassroots are reached, and that is why you see the people gathered here for us celebrate Christmas with what we have and with what His Excellency, our dear governor, has given to us".
He attributing the secret of overwhelming crowd as a  sign of strong conviction and belief in the governance of the state Governor, Francis Nwifuru.

"The secret of the crowd you are seeing here is the good governance of the states. At least I'm a commissioner representing the state, incidentally from the community.
So anytime we call them based on what His Excellency is doing, you see that everybody will come out to associate with the good governance. So, the secret is all about the good governance of the states, and they're rooted in most of all that are serving the states".
He stressed the need for youths to equip themselves with skills to enable them become self reliant.

"It is no longer about certificate, but about what you can do. Once you have skill and any entrepreneurial knowledge, you can leverage on that to start having your daily meal.
And that is why it's very important".

The Commissioner urged the people to use the period of Christmas to express love to others and pray for the success of the Government of Ebonyi State under Governor Francis Nwifuru, so that more dividends of democracy will trickle down to the area.
"Christmas is a period of celebration,
a period of thanksgiving to Almighty God for keeping us from January to December and a time for gift exchange.

"We should pray for government of Ebony State, which His Excellency, our dear Governor, Builder Francis Obunna Nwifuru, is the vision bearer, that God will continue to give him wisdom so that dividend of democracy will eventually reach everywhere.
"I urge all our youths and everybody to be law-abiding and associate with the government of APC
because it's the government that is rooted in democratic dividends through the grassroots".

Stakeholders took turns to aappreciate Governor Francis for sporting Dr. Donatus Ilang and made him Commissioner, confirming that he has made the people of Enyibichiri proud.
"We are proud of you. You have not disappointed us. We know what you did in the ministry of border peace and conflict resolution and now, you're even doing more in the ministry of Education. We thank the governor who spotted you through Hon. Chinedu Ogah".

They commended the commissioner for celebrating Christmas for them and prayed for more blessings upon him.

Items distributed during the event include bags of rice, wrappers, salt, condiments and disbursement of large amount of money.
They chanted solidarity songs and reassured their support and solidarity to APC and the Government of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whom they described as their worthy in-law.

Some of the stakeholders present during the event include Chief Livinus Ilang, Chief Celestine Nwele, Hon  James Nwode, Chief Okenyi Nweke, Chief Richard Nweke, Chief Sunday Ede among others.
