The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the expulsion of several high-profile members following what the party described as “serious anti-party activities” and actions deemed harmful to its cohesion and progress.
In a statement released on Saturday, the National Working Committee (NWC) confirmed that the affected individuals have been removed from the party with immediate effect.
Those expelled include:

HE. Ayo Fayose – Former Governor of Ekiti State
Senator Samuel Anyanwu – Former PDP National Secretary
Hon. Umar Bature
Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN
Mohammed Abdulrahman
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa
Hon. Austine Nwachukwu
Abraham Amah
George Turner
Chief Dan Orbih
The party stated that the decision followed extensive deliberations and investigations into longstanding allegations of misconduct.
The PDP added that the expulsions were necessary to “restore discipline, uphold the party’s constitution, and strengthen its internal democratic structure.”
