As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary and Ebonyi State marks 29 years of its creation, the Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, joined fellow leaders and citizens in commemorating this historic day.
The event, which attracted dignitaries from across various walks of life, including prominent political figures from Ebonyi State, served as a moment of reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to national development.
In his goodwill message, Ogah emphasized the importance of continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, stressing that unity, cooperation, and patriotism are vital to advancing both Ebonyi State and the Nigerian nation.
Let us continue to do what is right to project the positive image of Nigeria and Ebonyi State on the global stage,” he stated.
Ogah urged Nigerians to shun hatred, bitterness, divisiveness, and acts of sabotage, advocating instead for a collective focus on nation-building. He noted that the strength of any nation lies in the unity and dedication of its people.
“As Nigeria and Ebonyi continue to grow and develop, the prayers, support, and cooperation of all citizens are crucial. Let patriotism guide our actions and let us remain optimistic about our shared future,” he added.
The lawmaker expressed confidence in the current leadership, describing President Tinubu’s "Renewed Hope" agenda and Governor Nwifuru’s "People’s Charter of Needs" as transformative blueprints that will elevate the state and nation to greater heights.
“With the visionary leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru, the sky is only the starting point. Let us rally behind them to achieve the greatness we all desire,” he concluded.
Happy 65th Independence Day, Nigeria!
