No fewer than five hundred persons have benefited from a free medical outreach organized by Amagu Bible Believers Association (ABBA) for the host community, Ezza South LGA.

The Medical Outreach was part of the activities marking this year's three days  annual August Conference as organized by the non denominational religious organization.

Speaking, the President of the organization, Pastor Joe Elom said the people deemed it necessary to organize the medical outreach as part of the annual ritual by the reasons of the sufferings of the down trodden whose financial capacities have hindered their access to quality medical care.

He noted that the conference has provided an enabling environment for Christians from different denominations in the community to hear the word of God and other teachings of the gospel which centered on the home management and social aspect of Christian's life.

He advised beneficiaries to see the medical outreach as a necessary social responsibility of the organization.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman Planning committee, pastor Michael Aziugo noted that his committee has done a good job adding they succeeded because of the cooperation of non committee members who threw their weight behind them at ensuring this year's program was a successful outing.

He appreciated the leadership of the group for giving them the opportunity to serve in such capacities adding that if the opportunity presents itself again to render the same services he would do better than he has done.

In a homily, the Moderator of the program, Pastor Augustine Nwali in a message titled Total salvation for humanity, Community and the church said the gospel is for the living as death has no opportunity to hear the words of God.

Pastor Nwali emphasized that for God to answer the prayers of the people of the Community there was a need to live in harmony devoid of rancour and  bitterness amongst the people of the community.

He noted prayers have helped the people of the community in different endeavors which have elevated the people of the community from the shackles of political backwardness it suffered in the past.

He Called on the people to always seek the face of God before embarking on a venture  in order to attract his favor and blessings.

In their  separate remarks, the Senior Pastor in charge of the Watchman Charismatic Renewal movement, Mile 50 layout Abakaliki, Pastor Emmanuel Igwe and the patron of the group, Mr. Bathlomew Usolor said they were happy with the number of persons who benefited from the medical outreach.

Pastor Emmanuel Igwe informed he was convinced by the level of publicity and awareness campaign embarked upon by organizers of the event that people will turn out for the free medical outreach adding at the beginning of the program it was as if people were not turning out in their numbers but when some of the beneficiaries came and saw that  people have received drugs they started troping in their numbers to the venue.

He maintained that over five hundred persons benefited from the medical outreach this year noting the group would be expecting more beneficiaries in the subsequent years.

In an interview with the leader of the Medical team, Mrs Ngozi Elom she said it was one of its kind in the annals of the program within the community.

Mrs Elom corroborated Pastor Emmanuel Igwe's view that over five hundred persons have benefited from the group's magnanimity.

A beneficiary, joy Awuji thanked the organizers of the program in the community and affirmed her vital organs were checked before administrating drugs on her. Similarly other beneficiaries who also underwent different medical examinations before they were given drugs attested to this.
