The Ohaneze Ndigbo in Ebonyi State has commended the state Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru, for his Impactful leadership in the state anchored on the people's charter of needs.
Ohaneze Ndigbo, which is the Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization in Nigeria, equally called on other political parties in the state to adopt Nwifuru as their sole candidate for the 2027 general election , considering the enormous projects the governor is executing in various parts of the state.
Aside the Governor's sterling performance, Ohaneze agued that second tenure for serving governors has become an established political norm in the state, beginning from the first Executive Gpvernor of state, Dr Sam Egwu to the second Executive Gpvernor, Chief Martin Elechi and to the immediate past Gpvernor, Engr David Umahi. Ohaneze avered that the above political trajectory fovours Governor Nwifuru, hence the need for all Ebonyians to support his reelection bid irrespective of political affiliation.
In an interview with the President, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ebonyi State chapter, Barr.Justice Chibuzor Okoha. reiterated the stand of Ohaneze Ndigbo in supporting the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru in putting Ebonyi on the map of development and for his second term just as his predecessors in the state. He called on all Ebonyians to rally round the governor to actualize his developmental blue print in the state.
"I've been following this project inspection and as Ohaneze, I've observed that Governor Nwifiru is a God-sent to Ebonyi people. Yes, the previous Government has what they called poverty alleviation program, but Governor Nwifuru came up with what we called poverty eradication program through empowement of our youths and women.
"Governor Nwifuru has done well in all areas in the state. Talk of empowerment , infrastructure, health, Education, promotion of culture and political stability in the state. For us as Ohaneze, we are satisfied with the leadership of His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwiifuru, we will continue support him. We will continue to work with him and God will continue to strengthen him".
"In Ebonyi, opposition party exist only on paper, because governor Nwifuru has United all of them in one fold. Our governor has done well and I advise all other political parties to join hands with him to do more for the state, and adopt him as a sole Governorship candidate come 2027 gubernatorial election in Ebonyi State".
The president noted that Ohaneze Ndigbo in Ebonyi State has been championing the course of cultural rebirth in the state, through constant Sensitization campaign across the 13Local Government Areas of the state on the need to imbibe our cultural heritage and not to allow it go into extinsion.
