The General Overseer of Champion Cathedral, Abakaliki, Professor Bishop Sam Onyeagoziri Ndubueze, has alleged that members of an occultic group from his community are behind a campaign of blackmail and intimidation against him, following his public condemnation of their activities.
Speaking
with newsmen in Abakaliki, Bishop Ndubueze said trouble began after he
criticized a local cultic group known as the Omabe masquerade on his
community’s WhatsApp platform.
According
to him, members of the group began threatening to “deal with” him soon after
his post went viral.
He
explained that on September 1, 2025, his phones were stolen in Abakaliki.
Initially, he said, he did not connect the theft to the threats.
“I
reported first to the Onicha Development Union chairman, Chief Engineer Chijoke
Ikeagwu, who helped me block my accounts. The following day, I went to the
Crack Department of the Nigeria Police, Ebonyi State Command, and officially
documented my complaint,” he said.
Bishop
Ndubueze alleged that shortly after his report, he received a phone call from
unknown persons demanding ₦10 million to suppress damaging information they
claimed to have about him.
“They told me if I didn’t comply, they would
send me packing from Abakaliki because of my stand against their masquerade.
When I tried to trace the number, it turned out to be an unregistered line,” he
added.
The
cleric further revealed that not long after the threats, doctored nude
photographs allegedly involving him began circulating on WhatsApp and Facebook.
He
said the images were manipulated using artificial intelligence technology.
“Those
pictures were taken from my traditional wedding thanksgiving years ago. They
used my face from that event to fabricate something entirely false,” he
insisted.
Clarifying
the source of some of the photos on his stolen phone, Bishop Ndubueze explained
that they involved a young woman, now 26, who once lived with him. According to
him, the lady had been a victim of sexual harassment by a group of boys who
threatened to publicize her pictures.
“She
sent those pictures to me for safekeeping. None of her nude pictures had me by
her side. What’s trending online is a manipulation — they only merged my image
from the chest upwards with hers,” he stated.
The
cleric called on security agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly and
bring the perpetrators to justice.
Meanwhile,
in a twist to the narration of Bishop
Onyeagoziri Okorie, a social media influencer, Mr Alex Oguta presented another perspective to the issue.
According to a post on his verified Facebook page, He wrote:

“Bishop

Igboeze, Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State. The girl in question is from Amudo in Ezza
South LGA of Ebonyi State.
“The
said girl is a seeker of Christ who ended up in crises. She is a victim of an
ugly fate; a faithful who failed in faith. She is anaemic. She is a sickle cell
patient, a sickler in a pogrom of porn.
“She
met the man of God for a solution to her health condition. The man promised to
help her through prayers but instead turned her into a prey. He told her that
for the prayer to work, they had to "fork." At first, the girl said
no; it was an ungodly, unholy, and unruly act, but he insisted.
“To
convince her, he came up with an unscientific theory. He told the girl that his
blood group is AA, and according to his theory, if they continuously had sex,
his AA blood group would gradually neutralize the SS blood of the girl. “The
more we do it, the more it disappears,” he concluded. So, he sealed her fate,
and her gate was opened.
“The
girl agreed. They started. It became a marathon copulation; a lewd coalition of
interests. The girl was eager to free her blood from the menace of sickle cell;
the man was eager to satisfy his ungodly sexual desire. The sweetness of the
Adamic fruit got the better part of the girl, and they buried themselves in
fun; a pogrom of porn.

many months of passing through the pink walls of the hole between the girl’s
legs, it dawned on her that the theory of AA defeating SS in a ring of sex was

point, a gun was pointed at her; a bigger threat! She resigned to fate and
positioned herself for the man to comb every part of her body - and he did
without mercy.
“Finally,
the girl left. The prophet was still buried in thought about what to do
concerning the girl’s absence when he mistakenly uploaded their videos online”
