Chief Odunwa congratulated the State Coordinator, Mrs Chukwu Ekezie on her posting to Ebonyi State, and called for deliberate strategy, where the youths will be gainfully trained and as well, get them established immediately, adding that Productivity gains can mitigate economic hardship.
"I want to thank you and to congratulate you on your posting to Ebonyi State. With your commitment, we will always synergize with you.
"If we have deliberate strategy where they have to be trained, and after the training, they get equipped immediately, and it should also be taken down to the grassroots. They will enjoy it."
He enjoined the youths to take advantage of the opportunity, by getting enrolled online, and implored the directorate, to enhance commitment in creating awareness on the activities and programmes of the National Directorate of Employment. Chief Odunwa commended Governor Francis Nwifuru, for making Ebonyi, the most peaceful State in Nigeria, and reassured his readiness to collaborate with the directorate, to manifest the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
"Ebonyi is accommodating. We have peaceful atmosphere, courtesy of the Governor of the State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
"Feel free to be in Ebonyi, and feel free to make contacts. We will always synergize with you to achieve the renewed hope agenda of our dear President Bola Tinubu. I know that he has interest in youth development."
Earlier, the State Coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment, Mrs Stella Chukwu Ekezie said, that both the registration and training are free. She expressed the readiness of the directorate to collaborate with Ebonyi State Government, to move the State forward, adding that registration for the training had already started. She clearly specified that the registration and training are for the people, between the ages of 18 - 40.
" I am happy to tell you that here in Ebonyi State, the directorate is rolling out some of its programmes which is a mandate from the president. One of his agendas, the programme he so much cherish and gave the NDE the mandate to help him extend it to our States and to our rural areas. That is the renewed hope agenda programme. This programme is ongoing here in the State. We started our registration online yesterday, and we are pleased that Ebonyians have been turning out, registering online.
"We are here to get you informed Sir that the directorate is interested in training the young men and women of this State. The people between the age of 18 - 40 years. They are now registering online to get involved in skill acquisition. And we have a number of those skills, and a platform for them to get involved."
