The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and All Progressives Congress, APC have traded accusations over vote buying in the last by election in Anambra State.
APGA through the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Chinedu Obigwe had accused the APC Governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu of allegedly buying votes in 2019 election in the platform of APGA.
"He did exactly the same thing in 2019 when he contested for Senate on the platform of APGA. The late Senator ifeanyi Ubah dashed him the 3000 votes he manufactured from his Osumenyi Country home when he got information that he has won the election and that even if they add the 3000 Osumenyi manufactured votes that he still won the election with wide margin.
"I remember telling the Commissioner for Environment that Ukachukwu will attack him on the election day if he discover that he is thwarting his rigging plans and that was exactly what happened.
"Nigerians now know who Ukachukwu is. APGA stalwarts checkmated him very well on August 16th and that is his reason for shedding crocodile tears.I honestly doff my cap for our gallant Deputy Governor, Commissioner for Environment and other APGA stalwarts that resisted Ukachukwu rigging plan in Nnewi South.
"It is now obvious to everybody that without rigging that Ukachukwu cannot win Osumenyi his Country home and Nnewi South local government.
"Governor Soludo's good work in Anambra spoke loudly on August 16th in favour of APGA candidates and it will speak again in his favour on November 8 governorship election.
Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu had accused governor Chukwuma Soludo and APGA of emptying the state Treasury to buy votes in the last Saturday by election in the state.
Ukachukwu said the state government used everything at its disposal including deploying local vigilance group operatives to intimidate voters across the Anambra South Senatorial zone and Onitaha 1 state constituency.
