Contribute Your Quota To Make Society Better, Emegha Charges Women Group ~Calls For Support To Nwifuru's Administration

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, Hon Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha (JP) has charged women group to contribute their quota to the development of the society. Chief Emegha gave the charge today when the group under the aegis of Stand-up For Women Society (SWS) paid him courtesy/solidarity visit in his office in Abakaliki.

Chief Emegha who is also the Governing Board Chairman, National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Zaria, Kaduna State, emphasised the need for the women to be of good conduct, be law-abiding, build good homes and guide their children aright to make the society better.

He however, called on them to support Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to make Ebonyi great.

"Start changing the society from your house because charity begins at home. Be a good home keeper. Respect your husband and support him to grow. Be highly disciplined and keep to the government's rules to make a better society.

"Know it that the governor is just one person and only him can't do everything, hence the need for you all to support him by being law-abiding and maintaining peace in your homes.

"If you watch your children violate government's rules without correcting and guiding them, you're not building a better society, neither are you supporting the governor to make our state great. Some of you watch your children dump refuse indiscriminately, at unapproved places, thereby littering our environment. You will have to always guide them aright and discipline them to be of help to the society, and that's why you're mothers. You have great roles to play in bringing up children unlike men who are always away to find what the family will eat.

"You don't leave everything for the government alone; you must contribute your quota.

"More importantly, always pray for the governor and his government", Emegha said.

Earlier in her speech, the chairperson of the group, Mrs Aaron Gloria Onyinyechi explained that the group is a global non-governmental organisation that speaks for women with the aiming of educating them on their political, social and economic roles and rights in the society.

She said they came to not only familiarise with Chief Emegha but to also request his acceptance to be their patron, noting that they have operated in Ebonyi state for six months but will officially be inaugurated this month.
She commended Chief Emegha's strides in leadership as well as his magnanimity to humanity.

"We appreciate your good works in this state and we request you to accept to be our patron. This is our six months of operating in the state and we intend to move the organisation to the grassroot. We wish to inform you that this group shall be inaugurated on 26th July, 2025.

"We stand for women and protect them against domestic violence and discrimination in the society.

"This is the first in history, Ebonyi state is having a party chairman that collapsed other opposition political parties into his party. It shows you're a capacity in leadership.

"Sir, we have been watching you from afar care for humanity and this group is all about same humanity which you represent.

"We ask for you your support and fatherly care. On our own, we shall continue to support you and the government of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to move the state forward.
