2027; Amaechi Vows To Unseat Tinubu

By  Dennis Naku

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has vowed to stop the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

He accused the President of being insensitive to the welfare of Nigerians and called on Nigerians to register massively for the African Democratic Party, his new party, in order to salvage the country.

Amaechi, a former Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections, stated this while addressing hundreds of supporters and loyalists shortly after arriving at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Wednesday.

He said the ADC has come to end Tinubu’s bad government, which he said has brought severe hardship to the people, saying the party will provide the best government the people deserve and restore smiles on their faces.

Amaechi stated, “This coming is just to reassure our supporters and Rivers people that there is a new party in town.

“And that every Rivers man who thinks good of the state and the country should move to register with the new party and ensure that we remove the current government and stop the hunger everybody is suffering from”.

Regarding who will receive the ADC’s presidential ticket in 2027, he stated that all contenders will stand by whoever emerges as the winner, as the selection process is credible.

“Anybody who. emerges from the primaries, we insist on a free, fair and transparent primary, all of us will support whoever emerges.”

To his myriad of supporters, he said, the former Governor said, “If you are not tired of Tinubu, I’m tired of President Tinubu. If you’re not hungry, I’m hungry.

“If the rich men are spending N4 million a month for electricity, only God knows how you (citizens) are surviving. And the President says he doesn’t care.

“The President says he is not here to make you happy. But ADC is here to make you happy.”

The former Governor, however, said he will not work with those who join to write election results in the state during elections and claim victory.

“Rivers State is notorious for writing (election) results. When they write result, they claim they have won. I will not work with you if you work with those result snatchers to announce result. God will bless all of us,” he emphasised.

Our correspondent reports that after driving into town, Amaechi trekked several kilometers from the Water Lines axis to his residence in  Old GRA, while acknowledging cheers from residents
