Ikwo Council Boss Felicitates Ohaneze Ndigbo New Leaders

Following the recently concluded Local Government and National Election of the Apex Igbo sociocultural organisation, Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Barr. Sunday Nwankwo has congratulated the new leadership, and charged them to live up to the expectations of the people.

He congratulated the new President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azubuike Mbata, including the National Vice President, Dr. Peter Mbam, National Legal Adviser, Chief Barr. Okeagu Ogada and others from Ebonyi State who were elected at the recent convention.

The council Boss who was particularly happy with the crop of individuals saddled with the leadership of the organisation, pledged to continuously work with them, especially at the local Government level to ensure that the ideals of the sociocultural organisation are preserved. He called on the people of Igbo nation to close ranks in advocating for unity, security, development and progress of the region.

He praised the dispositions and partnership of the Governors of Igbo region, especially Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in sustaining the culture and identity of Igbo people.   

 

Barr. Nwankwo tasked the new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo at Ikwo Local Government level to come up with programmes and activities that will help revive the resilience spirit of Igbo people in their various areas of endeavour 

The newly elected Executive of Ohaneze Ndigb in Ikwo LGA include; Hon. Stephen Nwukwu- Chairman, Hon. Romanus Oñele- Vice Chairman, Sir Cletus Anyigor- Secretary and Hon. Mrs Favour Nkechi Ogodo- Assistant Secretary.

Others are Hon. Aleke Nwonu- Financial Secretary, Mrs Martha Charles- Assistant Financial Secretary, Hon. Sampson Nweke- Treasurer, Mr Ejike Obelebe - Assistant Treasurer, Mr Dennis Uzim- Publicity Secretary, and Hon. Casmir Nwanchor- Assistant Publicity Secretary.

Also elected are Mrs Nnenna Franca Mbagwu- Woman Leader, Mr Vincent Ekuma- Youth Leader, Hon. Uche Ogodo- Allied Mobilizer, Barr. Nelson Emmanuel Nweke- Legal Adviser and Barr. Chidimma Nwafiukwa- Assistant Legal Adviser.
