Former Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, Mr Ogbonnia Oko Enyim on Thursday denounce his membership of the opposition People's Democratic Party, PDP and formerly defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ebonyi State.
The former Council Chairman who was also the PDP House of Assembly flag bearer for Afikpo North West State Constituency in the 2023 general election, said he was moved by the overwhelming achievements and most especially, the enduring peace pervading the state in the last eight months of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru's administration and said, he has no option than join the moving train and contribute his quota for the Development of the state.
Oko Enyim, hile pledging his allegiance to APC and Gov Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru's People's Charter of needs administration in the state, also congratulated the APC for winning the Ebonyi South Senatorial bye-election overwhelmingly stressing that party worked for the victory.
He further lauded the state party chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha whose peaceful disposition has helped in no small measures in propelling the resounding achievements of the party since he assumed the office in 2020.
While receiving the defectors, at the state Secretariat of the APC, state Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha assured them that the party is large enough to accommodate them.
The party Boss, Emegha who said that Governor Nwifuru's resolute actions have transformed lives beyond imaginations charged them to be loyal and law-abiding because APC eschews violence and any act inimical to the fundamentals of societal peace and development.
"You are welcome to the ruling party where lives are transformed, where there is no segregation of any kind. Where governance needs growth, progress and development of the people. Where people are treated equally and not with disadin.
"My Boss and leader of the party, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Right Honourable (Dr) Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has done incredibly well in terms of giving the people an adorable life lines worthy of mentioning anywhere in the world".
"Some of you that doubted the governor are joining now because you have been convinced in his ability to bring the desired and deserved development to the people".
"Today I charge you to be absolutely peaceful and loyal in your conduct because APC is not chaotic and nothing can make it deviate from its original agenda of setting precedence of good governance where lives could be more meaningful and liveable. Work in tandem with the Governor's agenda".
