Ebonyi CAN Splits Over Alleged 50m Scandal, Inconsistent Lifestyle of Chairman

Parallel Leadership have emerged in Ebonyi Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), hinging their decision to break away from the Rev Scamb Chinedu Nwokolo led CAN leadership in the state to alleged embezzlement of fifty million naira (#50,000,000) belonging to the body and inconsistent lifestyle.


Chairman of the new group, Pastor Dr Aloysius Nweke Ogah and another member, Rev Ogwale Ogwale accused Rev Scamb Nwokolo, Bishop Dr Anayo Iloh and Pastor Solomon Eriugo of refusing to account for #50,000,000 naira belonging to the Association and vowed not to have any thing to do with the trio.


The splinter group in a statement signed by the chairman, Pastor Dr Aloysius Nweke Ogah and Rev Ogwale Ogwale alleged that Scamb Nwokolo and cohorts refused to account for fifty million naira belonging to the christian body. According to the statement, "The general public is hereby informed that due to the illegitimate and unscriptural inclusion of Rev. Dr. Scamb Chinedum Nwokolo, Bishop Dr. Anayo Ilo and Pst. Solomon Eriugo in Ebonyi State leadership structure of the Christain Association of Nigeria(CAN) with their inconsistent lifestyle and refusal to  account for over (#50,000,000,00) "The members of the association have decided to abandon and aviod these three ministers and cohorts. Consequently, a new membership structure to carter for the interest of CAN in Ebonyi State have been formed". 

In a swift reaction on phone, the state chairman, Rev Nwokolo said that the splinter group are non members of Christian Association of Nigeria in Ebonyi. "I don't have anything with them, I don't even know them. They're not even members of CAN. "I can only react to issue coming from any members of CAN, but for them, they're not our members and you can check their antecedents",Nwokolo concluded.
