As part of Chief (Hon) Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali's campaign promise to the good people of Afikpo North East Constituency, that he will always liaise with the government to deliver positive democracy dividends to the people and enhance the fortunes of the constituency;
the following achievements have been recorded:
1)UJI NDIBE CONCRETE ROAD PAVEMENT:* You would recall that for over a decade, the Uji Ndibe section of Ndibe Beach Road had posed a menace to the people of the constituency to the extent of destroying lives and properties of motorists and other road users, until P.NOBLE entered government, and brought the situation to the attention of our ever listening Governor, RT.Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. The Governor out of his passion for people's charter of needs, immediately approved the construction of concrete pavement road across the Uji Bridge and extending to the front of Concept Filling Station. Today motorists and other road users are safely enjoying that section of the road as they go about their normal daily activities.
2) RECONSTRUCTION OF AFIKPO ROUND ABOUTS:* The three major roundabouts in Afikpo urban which includes; Eke Market, Amuro and Amangballa roundabouts were hitherto an eyesore, but caught the attention of P-NOBLE who saw it as a dent to the image of Afikpo. He cried to the ever listening Governor who equally intervened without hesitation.
Today, the three (3) roundabouts are completed with concrete pavements, painted, installed with directional signs, street lights and star-lights that illuminates and beautifies the round abouts during night hours.
3)INSTALLATION OF SOLAR STREETLIGHTS:* P.Noble equally used his good office to attract the installation of solar street lights from Enohia Nkalu junction, spreading
upto to the Ndibe beach junction and some of the beach residential areas.
Recall that Ndibe beach road has been a famous business and tourist area, but due to lack of illumination within the environment at night, business activities especially at the water front have always been negatively affected and the place turning hideout for hoodlums who perpetrate criminality and insecurity.
P.NOBLE in his usual interventionist manner, alerted the Governor to the plight of the residents as a result of darkness along Ndibe Beach road and the need to have illumination in the area. The Governor still in his passionate and listening approach to governance, graciously approved the installation of quality fifty (50) street lights which have already been mounted upto the water front.
It is pertinent to note that all the above three items had posed serious challenge to the people before our honourable house member stepped in and sought the intervention and approval of our dear Governor.
4) THE ONGOING UPGRADE OF AFIKPO STREETS OUTLOOK:* *PAINTING AND DECORATION OF AFIKPO URBAN AREAS:* Chief (Hon.) Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali (P.Noble) also activated a passionate appeal to the executive Governor over the unimpressive street outlook of the Afikpo urban and proposed the painting and decoration of the median road demarcations and roundabouts. This request was graciously granted by our ever listening Governor.
It is no doubt that our Governor whose mantra is fulfilling the *PEOPLE'S CHARTER OF NEED* is actually living up to his promise by listening to the people and solving their various problems.
LEGISLATION
In terms of legislation, which is P.Noble's core mandate as a lawmaker, he has supported and contributed in the passage of the following bills;
i) LAW NO.004 OF 2023: Ebonyi state small and medium enterprises development Agency law, 2023
ii)LAW NO. 005 OF 2023: Ebonyi State Boundary and Allied Matters Commission Law,2023
iii) LAW NO.006 OF 2023: Ebonyi State Rural Access Roads Authority Law,2023.
iv)LAW NO.007 OF 2023: Ebonyi state Roads fund Law,2023.
v)LAW NO.008 OF 2023: Ebonyi State Drugs and Medical Commodities management Agency law,2023.
vi)LAW NO.009 OF 2023: Ebonyi State statistics Law,2023.
It is worthy of note that, just on 7th December, 2023, P.Noble supported a motion to audit the activities of quarry companies that are wrecking havoc in our communities. These companies have become notorious for hosting their mining sites and blasting stones within close range to community settlement and also neglecting majority of their social responsibilities to the
host communities.
EMPOWERMENT
In the Area of Empowerment, P.Noble has doled out #50,000 each to about 50 constituents, to support their businesses and has awarded scholarships to numerous undergraduates & secondary school students from his constituency. Paid Medical Bills for some indigents in Afikpo.
Shared over 1000 pieces of quality high target wrappers to his constituents.
Distributed over 1000 tubers of yams to his constituents during the 2023 new yam festival, just to mention but a few.
ENROLLMENT OF 70 SKILL ACQUISITION EMPOWERMENT FOR PEOPLE OF AFIKPO NORTH EAST CONSTITUENCY: as at today, some people have actually started the skill training fully sponsored and paid by HON. P NOBLE, while the rest will be fully sponsored and paid to start before end of February 2024.
ENROLLMENT OF 100 ELDERLY PEOPLE INTO P. NOBLE HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME: The scheme shall kick start effectively by mid of JANUARY 2024.
As we wind down this year 2023, Afikpo people should remain steadfast in their support, and expect more dividends of democracy from their workaholic representative in the new year.
