Council Chair Sue For Peace, Unity In Ishielu Community As He Receives Eze -Elect

The Executive Chairman, Ishielu Local Government Area, Hon.John Obinna Onwe, on Friday, received the Traditional Ruler Elect of Umuhuali Community, HRH Eze Elect Udoku Patrick Nwafor.

Speaking during the presentation, Chief. Barr Onwa Ali Onwa member Ebonyi state University Governing Council chronicled the various hurdles they had passed through in ensuring the peaceful enthronement of a new Traditional Ruler in their Community since after the reign of his late father. 

He thanked the Chairman for the warmth reception and pledged the undivided loyalty of the people of Umuhuali to the administration of His Excellency the Executive Governor. 

Addressing the people of Umuhuali, the Chairman stated that he has the approval of the  Commissioner for local Government and Chieftaincy affairs to receive the Eze Elect and subsequently report to his ministry for onward presentation of the Eze before His Excellency the Executive Governor.

He urged them to ensure maintenance of peace, security and endeavor to reconcile with all agrevied groups or persons in their Community if any.

Immediately after the reception, the Chairman performed the inauguration of the following Town Unions Executives; 
1.Amazon autonomous Community led by Agwu Jacob Parkings, 2.Azuinyaba Community led by Ekechi Uchenna , 3.Ezzagu Community led by John Anyalagu  4.Ezekuna Community led by Mr.Akam Iyere.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Chairman admonished the leadership of the various Communities to lead their people with the fear of God, maintain synergy with the traditional rulers of their respective Communities and consider peace, unity and love as paramount in their leadership. 

He equally charged them to use their respective offices to foster  unity and development in their Communities and  support the administration of His Excellency builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru which is anchored on people's charter of needs. 

Highlights of the activities were group photographs and cultural display by the Umuhuali people.
